Supply Chain Management comprehends planning of the complete logistic chain. A significant part of the internal supply chain of many companies is the quality control department. Standard ERP-Systems donīt include a capacity planning of tests and a reporting regarding the midterm labor utilization and the workload which is planned in the different laboratories.
OR SOFTīs standard software LabScheduling closes this functional gap and extends the functionality of SAP ERP QM regarding the interactive capacity planning of laboratories for both staff and machine resources. LabScheduling is a SAP ERP Add-on integrated by design and interacting with SAP ERP. The midterm planning functionality is based on the production- and purchasing plan in SAP ERP and uses the logistic SAP ERP data to provide capacity plans and worklists.
Additional functionalities enable the prioritization of tests regarding the needs of production, purchasing and sales departments. Other functionalities allow the assignment of tests to employees. In cases where not all relevant data is yet included in SAP ERP QM additional data sources like LIMS systems or data bases can be embedded.
